The Emerald Ash Borer is an invasive pest from Asia and threatens the ash tree population in the United States. It has killed over 20 million trees in Michigan alone since its discovery in 2002. It mostly targets green, black, and white ash in the US. Ash do not have natural defenses to the Emerald Ash Borer, and trees of all sizes and conditions have been killed.

Valley Tree Service uses both tree-age and Xytect. With tree-age (an injection into the tree) we can guarantee two years of protection against the Emerald Ash Borer. After doing that, we use Xytect around the base of the tree anually which protects for a full year.
